Animals omens have their traditional meanings; you may also have your own personal meanings for them, as well.

In addition, I always note the direction an animal omen is moving when I encounter them. If they are crossing me right to left, then they are indicating something that will be negative, something that is starting up, or will be hidden, and left to right indicates something that will be positive, is passing out of influence, or is something that is coming to light.

If an animal is moving directly at me, then I take that as a direct confrontation by the forces or kind of people it represents. If the animal is moving along side of me, then I take that to mean assistance by the kind of forces or people the animal represents. (What I mean by "represent" is that someone is associated with the animal or the person reminds me of that type of animal.)

If the animal moves towards me and I am stationary, then whatever they bring with them is something I have no influence over. However, if I come upon them and they are stationary, then I can influence what they symbolize.

Lastly, if our paths just organically cross—they are going their way and I am going mine—then the ability to influence the situation is equal; I have just as much power as they do.
